Thank you for making our 20th Anniversary Celebration a Success!

by Professor KC Chan, former Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of Hong Kong Government gave a speech on a topic of “FinTech in Hong Kong”.

In celebration of its 20th Anniversary, the HKUST MSc in Information Systems Management (MScISM) program held a dinner on 5 May 2018. Over 170 MScISM alumni, students, faculty and guests gathered at Kerry Hotel to celebrate this joyous occasion.

It began with a cocktail reception where guests enjoyed the opportunity to mingle with one another. Soon, the dinner got underway. Professor Kar Yan Tam, Dean of HKUST Business School, and Professor Ted Clark, Academic Director of MScISM program gave welcome remarks.

To give guests an update on recent IT hot topics, a keynote speech was given by Professor KC Chan, former Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of Hong Kong Government on a topic of “FinTech in Hong Kong”, followed by a panel discussion on “Cyber Security Development in Hong Kong” by two industry experts, Mr Luke Ma (2011 Intake – Part-time), ‎Head of Security Consulting, North Asia of ‎NTT Security, and Mr Michael Leung, Chief Information and Operations Officer, China CITIC Bank International Ltd.

The dinner ended with chatters and laughters that alumni, students, and faculty reconnected once again and celebrated the successful milestone of the program.
