Scholarships & Financial Aid

Admission Scholarship

All applicants will be considered for Admission Scholarship.

Applicant’s eligibility for the scholarship will be assessed on a case-by-case basis after admission interview is conducted . The Admission Committee will make decision for the admission offer together with the Admission Scholarship. Successful applicants will be notified for the scholarship award. No separate application is required. 

Targeted Postgraduate Programmes Fellowships Scheme

The MScISM Program is one of the eligible programs in the Targeted Taught Postgraduate Programmes Fellowships Scheme funded by the University Grants Committee (UGC) in the 2021/22 academic year. All local Hong Kong residents pursuing either full-time or part-time study for 2021-22 Intake can apply for the fellowships. Successful candidates will be awarded up to HK$120,000 of tuition wavier, i.e., they only need to pay HK$150,000 for full-time while HK$120,000 for part-time. Eligible applicants admitted to the MScISM Program will be invited to apply for the Fellowships. For more details of this Fellowships, please refer to UGC's website at here.

Dean’s MSc Admissions Scholarship

The HKUST Business School has established the Dean’s MSc Admissions Scholarship for outstanding HKUST UG final year students and graduates in two years admitted to the School's MSc programs. Successful applicants will be awarded up to HK$ 100,000 of tuition waiver.

Eligible applicants admitted to the MScISM Program will be further evaluated for the scholarship based on rigorous and holistic approach. Successful applicants will be notified by the MScISM Program Office for the scholarship award. No separate application is required.

Financial Aid

Hong Kong Government's Continuing Education Fund (CEF)

Hong Kong Government's Continuing Education Fund is for Hong Kong residents. Eligible students can apply for reimbursement of up to HK$20,000.

Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (ENLS)

The Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (ENLS) is offered by the Hong Kong Government, which provides financial assistance in the form of loan(s) to eligible students to settle tuition fees of specific post-secondary / continuing and professional education courses studied in Hong Kong.

Students who have the right of abode in the Hong Kong or have resided or have had their homes in Hong Kong continuously for three complete years immediately prior to the commencement of the programme / course are eligible to apply for an ENLS loan to cover their tuition fees. The maximum amount of loan is the total tuition fee(s) payable in particular academic year.
